Gastroenterology & Metabolic Specialists (GMS) are a team of highly specialised and experienced Gastroenterologists based in Melbourne, that manage a range of Gastroenterology and metabolic issues. We provide high-quality personalised care across a wide range of bowel, liver, and metabolic conditions, including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Our service prioritises metabolic healthcare evaluation and management and we work closely with a multidisciplinary team of health care practitioners including Dieticians, Endocrinologists and Cardiologists.
We perform Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy procedures, including bowel cancer screening and polypectomy. We also perform onsite Fibroscan® as an important part all of our liver health consultations, and as a risk-assessment tool for metabolic health screening. We regularly arrange iron infusions for our patients and also utilise Pill Camera technology to help evaluate for small bowel bleeding.
